In Karesuando we make knives that are adapted to our nature with harsh, arctic climate, northern lights and midnight sun. We make genuine products that are shaped by centuries-old craft traditions and nature's raw materials. A craft beyond the ordinary. It is in our origin and our traditions that we derive our momentum and inspiration.

Our knives are made with over 40 years of design experience. Our product crew has, with their skilled knife making experience, crafted over 200.000 knives and additionally to that, over 1 million of single blades. That´s years and years of working with and learning about the materials, trying different designs and figuring out why stuff works or doesn´t work. Our company is more than 40 years old now. We are who we are, and we make what we make; a lot people love that, and for that we are eternally grateful.

Like shoes on feet, a knife should fit perfectly in the hand of the user. Our knife-collection includes around 55 different models, thereof two folding knives and four fishing-knives. Beside the fit, the style of the knife is important for the vendees. Therefore we have a wide range to pick from. Whether you prefer the traditional look, prioritize an ergonomic handling or want to keep it simple with one of our minimalistic designs, there is most definitely a perfect knife for everyone.

As handicrafts we manufacture wooden drinking-cups, “kåsor” as we call them, kitchen utensils, wine- and bottle openers.

The Karesuandokniven AB was funded in 1975 and is famous worldwide for our handmade hunting knives, blades, axes and Lapland-inspired handicrafts. The company has its production in the tiny village Karesuando in Lapland in the very north of Sweden and has about 300 inhabitants.

Knives from Karesuandokniven® are made according to hundred year old sami traditions, using raw materials taken from the surroundings here in Karesuando. The knives are designed for a wide number of purposes, always with high quality and usage in focus. Our selection contains handcrafted hunting knives, fishing knives, fillet knives, folding knives, outdoor knives and extra beautiful damascus knives. For us good hygiene is a given, therefore all the joints are filled resulting in easy to clean knives.
